Ratio Christi (Latin for ‘The Reason of Christ’) is a Global movement that equips university students and faculty to give historical, philosophical, and scientific reasons for following Jesus Christ. Bringing together faith and reason to establish the intellectual voice of Christ in the University, Ratio Christi is planting student and faculty led apologetics clubs at universities around the world.

Students, engaged in the battle for the mind, learn to defend God's existence, the reliability of the Bible, and the fact of Christ’s resurrection. This organization seeks a Renaissance of Christian thinking in the University and they invite you to join them on the “Defending The Christian Faith at Sea Cruise”. This cruise is not limited to students at the university level. Singles, families, couples…all are welcome to learn and enjoy the food, fellowship and fun which can be found on this vacation adventure that awaits us next December. Please mark your calendars and be prepared to experience the “wow” found on Royal Caribbean’s ship, Freedom of the Seas. This ship, which departs from Ft. Lauderdale on December 17th, and returns on December 23rd will visit the Western Caribbean ports including Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Costa Maya.

Joining Ratio Christi will be three of the most accomplished Christian apologists, speakers and authors including Dr. William Lane Craig, Dr. Michael Licona, and Dr. Richard Howe. For those of you who want to glean from these strong apologists, you will have plenty of opportunities to do so during the multiple sessions offered while the ship is at sea. When we get to the ports, however, we encourage you to rest, relax and enjoy the beaches, shopping, sights and more. In addition to the teachings, students and those who are “more mature” are invited to participate in the RC Basketball Tournament.

Parents, feel free to bring your kids (reduced rates for kids in triple or quad occupancy rooms). Students and singles, roommate matching is available upon request (one person booked in each room must be at least 21 years old).

To say this cruise is an opportunity of a lifetime, really is not an exaggeration. Come see for yourself what a blessing this will be for all! Register now for the best rates and the option to take advantage of the easy payment plan.

Dr. Howe’s doctoral dissertation is titled “A Defense of Thomas Aquinas’s Second Way” in which he defended Aquinas’s efficient causality argument for the existence of God against criticisms of theistic arguments in general, against criticisms of causal theistic arguments more narrowly, and against specific criticisms to Aquinas’s version of the efficient causality argument for God’s existence—the second of Aquinas’s famous “Five Ways.”

    George Town, Grand Cayman

The premier attraction on Grand Cayman is Seven Mile Beach, white as snow, soft as talc. Name your game - snorkeling, swimming, sailing, windsurfing over rippling waves, or gliding under them in a passenger submarine. In George Town, retail therapy is value for money with duty-free bargains on crystal, perfume and jewelry fashioned of silver and prized pink coral. Experience a once-in-a-lifetime adventure: snorkeling with stingrays at Stingray City Sandbar. These tame creatures will swim right into your arms as they glide around you. They have velvety soft skin and love to have their bellies rubbed. Despite their frightening name, they are very gentle and won't hurt you as long as you stay away from their tails.

    Costa Maya, Mexico

Costa Maya, once a trading post for the Mayan Empire, is located in the Mexican Caribbean and is best known for its jungles, beaches, lagoons and Mayan ruins. Recent development and modern port facilities are making Costa Maya the perfect port of call. With so many activities, it will be hard to decide what to do first.

    Cozumel, Mexico

The Conquistadors first saw Mexico from the shores of Cozumel while searching for gold. Today, visitors to the island continue to seek out gold and silver jewelry in the shops of San Miguel while having a great time in its many local bars and restaurants. Plus, the waters around Cozumel's sheltered coral reefs make this one of the best snorkeling areas in the world.

Don't miss the opportunity to explore the ruins of the ancient Mayan city of Tulúm, majestically perched above the turquoise Caribbean. The site was occupied as far back as 600 A.D. However, it was most densely populated around 1200 A.D.

You will be struck by the pyramid-shaped El Castillo, which dominates the city from atop a forty-foot cliff. The nearby Temple of the Descending God provides equally excellent insight into the architecture of the Mayan people, who gained considerable achievements in the arts and sciences, only to decline and vanish for no apparent reason.
